New Starpass FAQ's

Why are you relaunching Starpass? 
Our customers have told us they want an improved Starpass loyalty program that is easy to understand, simple to use and offers flexibility with choice of rewards.   

What are the new program benefits?
The key benefit is that you will earn a 10% reward on every $50 you spend.   You can also choose to spend your rewards on eligible purchases including tickets, soft drinks and popcorn.  Rewards can be used to purchase nearly all items except alcoholic beverages. Member rewards can be redeemed seven days a week on all purchasing platforms. 

Do I have to pay to be a member?   Where is the new Starpass program available?
Membership is free and open to anyone 13 years of age and up.  Starpass will be available at all of our theater locations, including our Showcase SuperLux location in Chestnut Hill, MA.   

Will my earned rewards still be available after the new program launches on January 15, 2019?
Yes, any rewards earned on or before January 14, 2019 will still be available to you for up to 90 days based on the date-of-issue.

Will my current points transfer over to the new program?
Your current points value will expire at the end of business on January 14, 2019 and the new program begins on January 15, 2019

What happens to my Director-level status?
There will be no Director-level status with the new Starpass program, but the new Starpass program will offer more overall benefits.     

If I am a current Starpass member, do I need to sign up for the new program?
If you are an active Starpass member, meaning you have used the program within the last two years, your account will automatically transition to the new program.   If you are not a member or if you have an expired card, you can sign up or re-activate your account by emailing Starpass@Showcasecinemas.com.

Do I still receive my free birthday popcorn?
Yes, you’ll still receive a free regular popcorn for your birthday with the new program. 

Can I earn value with the new program on Fandango, Movietickets.com and Atom Ticketing?
Yes, you can earn value on our partner purchasing platforms. 

When do I start earning value for the new program?   
You will start earning value on the new program for purchases beginning on January 15, 2019.    

When will I receive my Starpass rewards?
Rewards earned from the purchase of food and beverage items will be placed into a pending status and awarded the day after the purchase date.
Rewards earned from all ticket purchases made at box office, kiosk, or online will be placed into a pending status and awarded on the day following the show date of the purchased ticket(s).
 
Where am I able to see my Starpass rewards?
Rewards earned will be digitally stored on your account.  Your personal dashboard on showcasecinemas.com and our mobile app will show you the rewards you’ve earned.   Also, our theatre employees will see the rewards available and ask if you would like to redeem any at that point. 

What are the other program benefits?
Other member benefits include a limited-time offer of $2.00 off Bargain Tuesday ticket pricing.   Members will also receive exclusive, ongoing promotional offers. 

Can I transfer my Starpass card or  rewards earned to another family member or friend to use?
Your Starpass card, and the value you have been rewarded, is non-transferable.

How do I sign up for the new program?
You can sign up by registering at showcasestarpass.com.  Or, you may pick up your Starpass card at the box office or customer service desk at a participating theatre. 

Do I earn value for purchasing gift cards or prestige tickets at the theatre, online or through a third party?

You do not earn Starpass value for purchasing gift cards or prestige tickets.  However, you will earn value for eligible ticket and concessions purchases paid for with gift cards and prestige tickets.

Are there any earning limitations with the new Starpass program?
Members will receive value for up to $500.00 spent per day.
